In winter, while much quieter, the region is still teaming with activity. Cross country skiing (downhill within a 2 hour drive), snowmobiling, hiking, ice fishing, ice boating, hockey or just skating on the river.

Brockville is host to countless festivals, events and fun activities. Celtic Festival, Buskers, Riverfest, Ribfest, Automotion, and 1000 Islands Poker Run attract over four hundred thousand people to the region.
